The Cupabia sweater is made with 100% Merino wool of the Cashwool type from the Italian spinner Baruffa.

Merino wool has properties that make it the best wool in the world.

  • It is thermoregulatory so it is not too warm between seasons, but it shelters.
  • It is the finest and most resistant among all the wools, which makes it very soft to the touch and durable.
  • It does not catch odors or stains, so its maintenance is easy and does not require frequent washing.
  • It does not make balls.

Baruffa is one of the best yarn producers in the world and has created a brand for its Premium merino wool, the Cashwool in reference to the resistance and softness of the product.

Fabric and Care

This product can be washed by hand at 30º with a neutral soap, by machine in a special program for wool at a low temperature without spinning.

Dry flat, do not put in the dryer (if not, see our washing instructions)

You can also dry clean it.

Note from NAPO & LEON:

Only wash your product when necessary, (detergents end up polluting the oceans), enter the circle.

Each Napo & Leon product has its number on a label inside the garment and is therefore unique.

Inside the right sleeve there is a small embroidery of the brand for identification. We did not want this hallmark to be too obvious for reasons of style and elegance, but we did want the followers of Napo & Leon to be able to recognize each other.

The opening of the Cardigan is wide but the cut is slim. The back of the lapels are in the colors of Napo & Leon. The buttons are made with recycled material to maintain our commitment to the environment. Maroon and Tangelo colors will appear below the lapels, which will only be apparent to the cardigan wearer.

The pattern is tight but comfortable for men of all morphologies who like to set a style. We have been inspired by models from the 60s that we have updated to give them this classic and timeless product vision.

The yarn we have used for our merino wool line is Baruffa 100% merino 2/30 in its Cashwool variant. The single thread construction allows to get an ideal weight and use during most of the year. Ultra thin but strong, it is soft and warm for the cold months. Even so, you can wear it for most of the year, since it does not overcoat and merino wool is cool when it is hotter and hot when it is colder … yes, yes, it is magical.

The name of this Cardigan comes from a small gulf and its beach, Cupabia located in the south west of the island of Corsica. The shape of the opening has reminded us of the shape of its loop.

This garment is versatile and can be worn both with a suit, with trousers and a blazer, or at the weekend with jeans or chinos. It can also be used to play golf with a look worthy of Ben Hogan or Arnold Palmer. The lapel is narrow and the buttons are small for a delicate silhouette. We have opted not to put pockets on it so that it can be worn more discreetly under a suit and is lighter.

To combine it, you can use a button-down collar shirt but also a turtleneck sweater (we still don’t have it in our range but it won’t take long to add one). The cardigan is the elegant garment by definition but it should not be too long or too wide.

Check our size guide.

If you like to wear looser clothes, and you doubt between two sizes, ask for the larger one. You can also contact us by phone or mail and we will help you choose the size that suits you best.

But do not suffer, if you do not like how it looks when the garment arrives, we will change it immediately. Check the return conditions, here

We choose the colors of our products with great care.

Beige: This beige is luminous, delicate and refined, it is neither too light nor too dark. It gives light to a warm garment that is worn almost all year round. It is ideal to wear with light or dark brown pants.

Brick: The brick color is a classic of the gentleman’s wardrobe. Easy to combine and bright, it is a discreet, elegant color with character. Ideal to wear with a herringbone blazer and navy trousers. Delicate orange trim at the cuff adds to the personality of this must-have piece.

Summer night: blueThis blue is almost the same as our Ajaccio blue. We like the dark blue that recalls the summer nights of the Mediterranean islands, in which the darkness is total and you can only appreciate the beauty of the stars. This color is the final point of distinction of any look (combinable with any color except black).
